You Are My Sunshine Foundation (YAMS)

Simon is a Director of the YAMS, which is a local Phillip Island Charity which has raised over $1 for million for cancer research.

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE FOUNDATION was established as a non-profit charity, in relation to the beloved Kahlilla, a young local girl who passed on a few years ago from neuroblastoma. At that time we had no dedicated funding for the disease.

Our focus is to fund research, with the aim of finding a cure for neuroblastoma, an aggressive and often deadly childhood cancer that affects very young children. Almost half of children diagnosed with advanced disease will die, despite aggressive treatment.

Government funding is inadequate and pharmaceutical companies lack interest in researching on neuroblastoma. Hence, we took up the mantle and decided to create this foundation to dedicate cancer research specifically on neuroblastoma.

Only through research can progress be made to increase survival rates. It is our hope that by funding this important research, by raising awareness and being an advocate for neuroblastoma kids, that we will find a cure that is so desperately needed. These little kids deserve nothing less.

We accept donations from anyone and any organization and we welcome you to this journey of research and finding less harsh management therapies for kids if not a possible cure for neuroblastoma.

Connect with You Are My Sunshine Foundation and find out how your small difference can make an incredible impact.
